Between 13 -16 October 2011, two representatives of the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow, namely Prof. Andrzej Szelc and Elżbieta Tylek-Hydryńska, took part in the International General Aviation Convention 2011 in Xi’an, China. The goal of their visit to China was to promote the UITM on the Chinese market, with special emphasis put on advertising  the new “Aviation Management” specialism.

UITM was the only institution from Poland among 200 aviation-related worldwide companies which took part in the fair. UITM was a part of the Berlin - Brandenburg Aerospace Alliance (BBAA) delegation. UITM and BBAA were promoted on a common exhibition stand.

During their stay in China, the UITM representatives initiated cooperation with the China Aviation Industrial Base (CAIB) and  took part in a number of summits and forums, i.a.

· Summit Forum of China General Aviation

· Private Aircraft Forum

· General Aviation Equipment Forum

· Air show at the Pucheng Airport

Dominika Maj and Ewa Szymkowicz - students of UITM in Rzeszow on the specialty Aviation Management - were the first to have the opportunity to complete internship in Deutche Lufthansa AG. Dominika and Ewa decided to use the time of holiday break for even more intense work and spent two months in the carrier's headquarters in Warsaw, where they participated in the work of various operational departments. Such a opportunity was possible thanks to cooperation agreement signed in April between our university and Lufthansa. Below we present the report prepared by the internship participants:

On the 19th of April the UITM in its campus in Kielnarowa organied I International Seminar on Aviation Management. The seminar guest of honor was Mr Bart Buyse - Lufhansa General Manager for Poland. The whole event took place in the  building of Center of International Education - the newest investition of the University.

Deutsche Lufthansa AG took the patronate over the project "To career on the wings - study Aviation Management. The largest carrier in Europe become an ambassador of the project, as the oficial billateral agreement will be signed on 19th of April on the I semminar on Aviation Management.
